Vicki and Luke got married at Waves Hotel and Resort on the beach on a sunny afternoon. This fun loving couple had a blast during their elopement with lots of smiles and laughter during their ceremony and their photo shoot. After the ceremony they Facetimed home to let them know the deed had been done. Finally to close the shoot Mother Nature provided a fantastic sunset for their final shots.

Michelle and Andrew got married at the Crane Resort in Barbados surrounded by family and friends. I was honoured to be asked to document their special day.
Louisa and Stephen got married at Waves Resort on the island’s west coast. Here are some of the pictures from their day!
Saadia and Dermot got married at the Crane Beach Resort in Barbados recently in a small intimate wedding attended by close family and friends. Saadia was walked up the aisle by her two daughters.
Hurricane Maria passed just to the north of Barbados on September 18th 2017. Clare and Gregory’s wedding was planned at Oceans Two resort on the island’s south coast. They were advised to delay their wedding but this wasn’t possible due to their travel arrangements.
As Hurricane Maria veered ever so slightly north the Tropical storm warnings lifted and the wedding was on. The hotel was on backup power, there was localised flooding on the island and the beaches were closed due to high winds and high surf. Clare and Greg got married in an upstairs conference room as it poured rain outside the hotel.
After the ceremony we looked out at the beach from the hotel balcony and as the rain had paused, we decided to make an attempt to get some pictures out on the sand.
These were never going to be the typical beach wedding photos from Barbados. Grey skies, (still) howling winds and a beach littered with debris from high surf. But in the end Clare and Greg had their wedding photos on the beach, and a story for the ages..

Looking back on 2017 here is a collection of my favourite wedding work for the year…..
Gabrielle and Ralph got married on Brighton Beach in St. Michael Barbados, after the ceremony they settled down to the first course of their wedding dinner lit by torches and the sunset. As it happened, Mother Nature put on an amazing show for them on their wedding day.

Possibly one of the biggest honours you can get as a wedding photographer is when another photographer whose work you respect asks you to shoot her wedding.
It then becomes intimidating when she then pretty much gives you free range to do whatever you want!
“…are you sure???”
“Whatever you do will be fine”
“ummm okay….”
Yes this took place last year, and I’ve been going back to my favourites and re-editing them when I have time.

Kari and Kevin celebrated their engagement with a Caribbean cruise. They contacted me about doing a shoot with them. After some back and forth we settled on Foul Bay beach. So once the boat docked at the Bridgetown port, they disembarked and met me on the beach. Here are some of the images the received from their shoot.
