As a photographer I am often asked about what are good venues for a beach wedding on the island. Barbados has many beaches each one has its plusses and minuses. Over the next week or so I’m going to post some of the many options available.
Harrysmiths Beach is a small bay on the South Eastern coast, the beach features very tall coconut trees and is surrounded by high cliffs. While it may not be the most accessible beach on my list, the scenery makes travelling the rocky road to it more than worth it. As an added bonus the bay has a ruined mansion on the clifftop that makes for interesting photos.
The rough “cart track” road to get to the bay means that this beach is best suited to small destination weddings. However it offers stunning backdrops and (usually) very few if any onlookers .
